What is the function of hemoglobin?
We have already learned that hemoglobin is red colorless blood. It also ensures the adequacy of various components in the blood. However, the main function of hemoglobin is to transport oxygen to the body. It reaches the required oxygen in every part of the human body. Oxygen deficiency is one of the main problems that can occur when hemoglobin is reduced in the blood.
When we inhale oxygen from the air, it first goes to our lungs. Hemoglobin is responsible for the transport of oxygen from the lungs to every tissue in the body, to every organ.
Not only that, this hemoglobin exchanges carbon dioxide with oxygen. That is, it sends oxygen from the lungs to the body and sends toxic carbon dioxide from the body to the lungs. Then the lungs send it out by inhaling it.
Thus, we understand that the relationship of hemoglobin with the oxygen supply in our blood is very important. Because of this, if this red blood-rich substance decreases in the blood, oxygen supply to the body is disrupted. And then we face various physical problems, including anemia.
When a contaminant is found in the blood, hemoglobin cleanses it, which prevents the mixing of any harmful substances in the blood. Even the hemoglobin helps to transport the body to the outside of the body, as it contains toxins.
